We’ve been home since Saturday and trying to get into a routine–one in which everyone gets enough to eat and enough sleep to be sweet, sweet. I haven’t shared much in the way of crafting in a while. It seems that most of my entries have involved babies lately. And that’s OK. But here is something I’ve been working on. I’ve actually made much more progress, but with all the transitions in our life right now, well… Like I said, just trying to get the hang of things.
I am honestly scared of what tomorrow will bring with Evan returning to work. Any of you moms out there remember the first day you were all alone with two little people? Or even just one? That was scary too. Thankfully, newborns can be pretty easy to care for, and 18-month-olds will sometimes obey.
Edit: I thought you might like more Jacob to feast your eyes on.

SUCH a beautiful, beautiful little child.
You are quite correct that it’s okay that many of your entries have been about babies lately. They (as I know you know) are your finest works of all. : )
Oh Kristena, do not fear — you are going to do just fine with the little ones! I know you’re nervous, though, and I so wish I could be there to help you. I will be praying, praying, praying for you all through the day today.
Love,
Ruthanne
P.S. The red embroidery is very striking. I have some vintage tablecloths and one of them is almost that same floral print.

This is a great resource that teaches a tried and true method we’ve used for all of our babies:

Your little Evan is absolutely gorgeous!
I remember when my husband went back to work I was terrified about being alone with my newborn and my 16 month old. Thankfully, my second was very easy, and my first was at an age that she was starting to be able to do more and more things by herself. You’ll find as each day passes that it gets easier and easier.
Take care and keep us posted on how things are going!

Kristena,
Congratulations on your new baby. What a doll. I am happy for your family. I read your website pretty often. I really enjoy it. I like to do a lot of things that you like to do but don’t have a lot of time right now. (3 boys keep my life crazy) I hope to do more when we move and I have more room to spread out all my things. I hope you are doing well. Love, Kelly
And yes, I can remember when my Mom and my husband left me alone for the first time after my second baby. It was hard. After the 3rd it was a breeze…Take care. Kelly
