I got a lovely email this morning telling me that the latest issue of Small Magazine was available. I’ve shared this once before. Every new issue inspires me so much that I just can’t not mention it.
This time, more than one photo made me want to knit a red hat for Emily.

Well…
I’m decidedly not knitting a hat for the girl. But I am making a kerchief which may become a shawl. If I have enough yarn.
Funny thing - I cannot retrace the thought-process that led to me not making a hat. Huh.
But I will make her a dress like that pale peachy one.

That dress is so pretty. I can’t wait to see it on Emily. I’m feeling like an inadequate mom/wife. I think I need to learn to craft/create something. The onesies that you made with a stencil look doable…do you give lessons? :-)

the dress and the hat are both fabulous! what ever you decide to do will be great i’m sure! i just found your blog From a comment you left on my mom’s blog). i think your blog is wonderful and will check back often!!! if i could blog like you i’d have one :0)

Jenn, you are so not inadequate! You have a job AND a baby AND a house to look after. I feel tired just thinking about it! Anyway, I would love to teach you how to do the stencils. I’m just trying to get the process perfected before I go spreading bad ideas or something. :)
