This is the Bobble Hat by Fabled Needle. I’ve loved this pattern for, oh, about 2 years now. I think it may have inspired me to take up crochet in all its cuteness. But then I remember trying to crochet it one night to no avail. I guess I finally acquired enough skills to tackle it.
So I made it for Emily. I used an H hook to achieve the smaller size. Then I made an i-cord to weave around it instead of ribbon.
Now all it needs is a matching scarf. Oh, and maybe some flowery embellishments. Why not? Everything looks cute on Emily.

Have you gotten her to wear it successfully yet?? Or does she still protest the wearing of things on her head? :)

Oh, she actually loves wearing hats now! She prances around in them and acts coy and silly. ;)

i can tell you my five year old has a ton of energy, and loves art! Anything with art, and maybe a very easy game to play outdoors. We do things like putting golf balls around the yard, and he has to run and collect them, and see how fast he can go.
If it is rainy making a fort inside always works (with blankets etc.),as well as lining up the dining roon/kitchen chairs like a bus or train.
good luck! you are going to be busy!
