This is still a work-in-progress, but I thought I’d share the breakfast nook today. It seems to be welcoming a new week, don’t you think? Below the chairrail - that’s what I painted last week. I didn’t bother taping because I don’t have any blue painter’s tape. And I didn’t bother using a paint roller either. I just went to it with some brushes, primer, and paint. I cannot recommend this approach, but it worked for me.
Evan was playing Call of Duty for about an hour and a half before he came in and realized what I was doing. He said he thought I was scrubbing the floor.
In my mind, scrubbing the floor seems like a much more shocking venture for me than painting a wall on a whim. ;)

It looks wonderful. How you find time to do something like that with two babies, I will never know. You have the innate motherly ability to mult-task. I cannot wait to have that : )

Very eatable! I would certainly sit there and eat…if you made me some of your yummy food.

Did you paint the whole kitchen or just the nook area? It’s very welcoming.

I love this!!!! The wreath is cheery in there. Jillian, following your rhetorical comment, I will say that mommies with toddlers who want to be crafty find an extreme amount of motivation to be multi-taskers…. they know that if they do not squeeze a zillion things into a 24-hour time period, “that thing” will never get done!! :)

Indeed, Kristi, indeed. :)

That is so funny!! Evan reminds me of Tim and I of you due to that when Tim plays Call of Duty he does not notice anything that is happening around him!!! Right now he is playing Street Fighter 4…lol Love you
