Mar 12

A total stranger knocked on my door this morning and asked me that.  And then walked back to his white “get away” car that was waiting in the street.  Yep.  I think we got cased today.  Or almost-robbed.  Not really sure what you call it.  But I do know that I have no grounds for calling the police.

So I’m blogging about it instead.  I mean what can you do these days?  How do you fight back?  I guess an ADT sign or a dog would be a preemptive strike of sorts.  But we can’t afford either of those things.  What I do have is Psalm 121 to meditate on.

“[The Lord] will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.” (v. 3)

I finally caught up on my Twelve Square quilt blocks.  Here’s Leslie’s:

And Melissa’s:

Can you believe that after seeing so many beautiful signs of spring, it SNOWED today?!?  It didn’t stick, but it was lovely to watch it fall as I drank my morning coffee. :)

Oh heavens, that would scare me!! Be careful, girl.

And those blocks are so pretty. I still need to take care of Melissa’s….

    Huh? That’s weird!
    Your blocks are beautiful :)

How creepy! That is why I do not answer the door unless I’m expecting someone, or I see the FedEx truck.
Those blocks are great! I love seeing all these fabrics and what different people do with them (for the quilt block swaps).

Bad men are everywhere! I’m kind of kidding, but if you read my blog you’ll know what I’m talking about. I used to answer the door for strange men/solicitors. I’m becoming less trusting.

oooh, creepy!! (The weird guy at your door, not your pretty quilt blocks…) Go talk to you neighbors, tell them what happened, and ask them to call you if they see anything weird going on at your house. I firmly believe that watchful neighbors are your best weapon against the bad guys…

It snowed here today as well…and then I saw more tulips peeking out! Those squares are great, I need to send Melissa’s this weekend.

Beautiful squares! Psalms are always a good place to go… We’ve been having the same spring/winter/spring/winter contradictory weather.
