I love all of your remodels…your changes, mends, and adaptations are clever and have the wheels of my creativity spinning. I especially love this one, and I’m thinking about maybe checking at our local thrift store for some large shirts I can do this to. I’m thinking a couple of these would make great maternity tops, which would cheer me up since I’m feeling kinda uninspired and discouraged about my maternity wardrobe. Love all your wardrobe updates. I think the green shirt is my favorite even though I really liked the original dress. Kudos for being willing to take action. I’m sure I would have held onto it believing that one day I would wear it enough to make it worth keeping. I most certainly need to re-think some of my older items…good stuff that I’m just not wearing. Bravo girl!

I stumbled upon your blog. It’s great, I love it. Weird question, but I was wondering if you could tell me your pattern size because I am a beginner sewist, have made a couple Built by Wendy garments (the cute shirt featured on BurdaStyle, and a great pair of shorts) and for both I was way off on the sizing. According to the size charts, I am basically a perfect 12, but with ease and all, everything comes out humongous! I mean so big that I look like im wearing a potato sack. For the shirt I decided to make a 4, and it fit great everywhere but in the chest( the finish garment was 4in bigger than my bust, and it still didnt fit). You look about the same size as me, so I thought I would ask. Thanks and good luck with all your projects!
