I like both. I think your pattern with the buttons (top right) would look really cute in a lightweight denim!

The store bought one I fear is much to short for my body. It would most definitely have to be a top for me. That has always been the pain in my rear is finding clothes that fit (I am almost 6 foot tall!) so that is one reason is started to sew!

Good luck and I hope you share your finished work!

and what an adorable dress from F21!

You should just make that second dress yourself.

I’m thinking about making a skirt like it…

Both dresses are ADORABLE!!! You should make an Etsy right now. People would heart your stuff. For real.

P.S. The Forever 21 dress reminds me of this romper from Urban Outfitters that I want so very badly: http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?itemdescription=true&itemCount=10&startValue=1&selectedProductColor=&sortby=&id=16568057&parentid=W_APP_JUMPERS&sortProperties=+subCategoryPosition,+product.marketingPriority,-product.startDate&navCount=12&navAction=poppushpush&color=&pushId=W_APP_JUMPERS&popId=WOMENS_APPAREL&prepushId=

Am I a dork for wanting a romper? Probably.

  8. Kristena Says:

Nope. I totally dig rompers. It’s the word “romper” that I don’t dig. :)

I LOVE the Simplicity pattern - I made the blue dress (the one that is showing) - and used the longer sleeves! Have you finished yours yet?
