That’s right folks… We’re moving! Our little family is relocating to Blacksburg, Virginia to live near family.
We just put our house on the market, and we’re going to stay in Tulsa until it sells.
At least… that’s the plan.

Exciting! Funny that we’re both moving to such different places! Ugh, packing boxes. I don’t want to get started…
Good luck! Virginia sounds beautiful and green.

Go Hokies! I’m excited that a blog I follow will now be set in one of my favorite places on the planet! Here’s my favorite thing to do near Blacksburg: When you have a nice long, gentle snowfall one day, make sure the moon will be a decent size, wait until dark and drive out to Cascades waterfall (http://www.stepinit.com/cascades/cascades_falls_pebroke_va.htm). With the snow on the path and the moon out, you won’t need a flashlight and you can walk all the way to the waterfall in a magical, silent, white snowy world. Last time I did it, the waterfall was frozen too - so beautiful.
Oh, and philly cheese steaks at Mike’s Grill. Have fun!

Well, what a suprise!! That’s where I’m reading your little blog, just this morning as I get my kids ready for school….
Email any time for any kind of advice!! I’ve only been following your blog for a little while, but I have loved it. Best wishes!

Woohoo! On the East Coast again…closer to me! When you come to Crofton/Annapolis to visit Uncle Mike, Aunt Heather and fam…you must let me know!

One word: Souvlaki. Best gyros ever. I spent four of my favorite years in Blacksburg while attending architecture school (spent one year at the satellite campus in Alexandria, too) and met my husband there. I second the Cascades recommendation… and my best friend worked at Mike’s Grill!
Good luck with the move!

P.s. I’m SO jealous, really. I love that town! At least my in-laws live close enough that I can make excuses to visit when we’re there for holidays.
P.p.s. Go Hokies!

Sounds like we might have to visit you guys out there :) We have a lot of friends on the east coast…I’ve been toying around with the idea of suggesting a road trip to visit EVERYONE out there. I’m sure Ryan will agree :)

Well, I hope for a smooth transition for you - moving is rather hectic and chaotic. Hopefully, you can sell your home and get started on a new adventure!

We’re transplants to the Shenandoah Valley and we absolutely love it here. If only we had family nearby, too. (Sigh.)
I hope the move goes well for you!
