My first original pattern drafted using knowledge gained from Cal Patch: a tank top. I plan to make a few adjustments and grade the pattern.

Maybe I’ll even sell a few in a lovely Japanese print. Maybe.

Makes you want to lay out a picnic blanket, no? Too bad it’s 48 degrees out.

But it won’t be forever. And I’m going to be prepared this year. :)

48* sounds pretty good… : ) But definitely not picnic weather. Your tank top is so cute; I love the cheery plaid.

I agree, 48* is pretty fantstic and so is that top is–the neckline is so very simple and so so sweet.

Because of your posts about it, I ordered her book and it should be waiting for me at home today! I had totally forgotten that I had an unused Amazon.com gift certificate. Well, it’s gone now!

Cute! I like the neckline on this. It’s wide but still modest.
Btw, I’m having a book-related, handmade giveaway on my blog this week! You and your readers are welcome to stop by :)

I have that book and love it. I took Cal’s patternmaking class and the book has all the information I didn’t write down. Great sirt, great fabric, and great boots.

love the tee, love your blog. Make more Tees, this is a great pattern. Really like the fabric too, and looks like it would be great if lots of different materials. Good for you, and best of luck!
