Whilst cleaning out the cabinets to prepare our house to show, I found 7 little cupcake liners in pretty pastel hues.  For a moment I thought about tossing them in the trash, then a thought occurred to me.  Why not refashion them?

So here’s what I did:

Step One: Fold liners.

Step Two: String ‘em, space ‘em out, knot ‘em, and fluff ‘em.

Step Three: Hang garland.

The garland is so lightweight that you can tape it up with Scotch tape wherever you please.  Perfect in a little girl’s room or as a last-minute party decoration.  And with the multitude of cupcake papers available, you’re sure to find some that fit your style and color scheme.  I used a thin cotton crochet thread and a large needle to string mine. :)

I am making this garland out of miniature cupcake liners (cream-colored with little red polka dots) and stringing them on mustard-colored yarn for some birthday decorations. I will post pictures of it on my blog next week; thanks for the great idea!
