What a fantastic idea!! I can't believe it, but I have the PERFECT thing to use for this. I picked up a half-finished embroidered tablecloth that someone had dropped off at our local sewing studio. I had no intention of finishing it, but it seemed a shame to let it go into the trash. I also have some wooden embroidery hoops -- yep, this will be hanging in my sewing room very soon! Thanks for the great inspiration!

Do you mind if I mention this on an upcoming podcast?

Hey, I know you've probably heard about this, but in case you haven't are you going to the Hillsville flea market this coming weekend? It is AMAZING. You should go since you're so close! Here is the link; the website doesn't do it justice, but basically the entire town turns into a flea market with antiques galore!

I must admit that my first impression was one of shock rather than delight that you would cut up that beautiful antique linen with embroidery. On second thought, though, it seems like a perfectly dandy idea for the pieces that are beginning to fray in places. You'd get to display the lovely still-intact parts while being able to do away with the ugly ones. All that to say: I like it! (very clever of you, Kristena, as always.) : )
